Large LED displays are traditionally installed by assembling modules one by one, connecting control cards and calibrating the colors. All-in-one LED displays offer these components as a single product: the display, control unit and connections come pre-configured.
How it differs from modular LED
Example products
- ViewSonic LDM series: 136, 163 and 231 inches; the control unit is pre-mounted below the display, with built-in Wi-Fi and split-screen support for up to 4 sources.
- ViewSonic LDS series: A 135–138 inch LED display with a foldable, wheeled design that can be moved between rooms and needs no wall mounting.
- Samsung IAC series and The Wall All-in-One: An all-in-one LED with 1.5 mm pixel pitch and the pre-assembled The Wall solution.
- Philips Unite LED all-in-one: 110 and 135 inch options.
Values are taken from the manufacturers' technical specifications.
Where is it preferred?
- In boardrooms and meeting rooms, replacing projectors
- As welcome and brand displays in corporate lobbies
- In training rooms and auditoriums
- At events and trade fairs with portable models
What to look for when choosing
Viewing distance determines the pixel pitch, and the size of the room determines the display size. The route into the building, elevator and door dimensions should also be checked before installation. For choosing pixel pitch, see our pixel pitch guide; for a comparison with video walls, see our article Video wall or LED display?
Summary
All-in-one LED is the right choice for rooms where standard sizes are sufficient and quick installation and easy use are expected; modular LED is used for custom sizes and outdoors. Playout on the displays is managed by our team through SSCSign. We can determine the best solution for your room together during a site survey.
